This is for the general information of all concerned that the Padma Awards will be announced by the Government of India on the eve of Republic  Day 2008, for exceptional service towards the advancement of Art, Literature & Education, Sports, Medicines, Social works, Science & Engineering etc  including Government services.  

 

                        Nominations in respect of persons from East Khasi Hills District may be sent to the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong on or before the 13^th August, 2007. The details may be collected from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Shillong on any working days during office hours on or before the 10.8.07 or may be downloaded from the district website http://eastkhasihills.gov.in
